A powerful experience, both collectively and individually! A great team, pedagogical and benevolent. What I appreciated most was that on a sailing boat, we could immediately see the results of our collective decisions and that the recurrence of the exercises allowed us to improve as the simulations progressed. Well done and above all, thank you for this great time!
"
It was just an incredible day with quite special conditions and the sun to keep us company. What's great about this experience is the fact that we were totally autonomous, that we knew nothing about it when we left the port and finally realised that by listening to each other and trusting each other we were able to do something extraordinary with these boats. I would like to thank in particular the whole MARSAIL team and our two skippers for the great day we had. Thank you for allowing us to live a totally unique experience that we will remember for a long time!
"
Christopher is an inspiring, humble and authentic sports speaker. Amandine runs the workshops very well with a certain (and benevolent) authority and a lot of relevance. We drew parallels between managing a health crisis and sailing through a storm. Our teams really appreciated it. Bravo to both of you, long live Marsail and THANK YOU!
"
Thank you, Christopher, for your very inspiring speech! Our jobs are very different, but we share the same lessons leading to success. Count on us to carry the McCormick France trimaran far with your precious testimony.
"
Amandine and her team allowed us to experience a very strong team building moment. The analogy with the business world is very relevant. Perfectly organised, all the skippers are both references in their field (Olympic Games, well-known races, etc.) but also very educational (they adapted very well to all the levels of our participants) and obviously very friendly. Everyone had a great time! Thank you again!
"
Christopher and his team took us for an afternoon out at sea on board of IMOCA60 DCNS, Christopher’s boat during the Route du Rhum (NDLR: the IMOCA60 is the type of boat which races the Vendée Globe) We sailed across the bay of Marseille at optimum speed and created unforgettable memories with our clients from Monaco. A real plus for our commercial relations. Thank you to the MARSAIL team.
"
Congratulations to Christopher and Amandine! The conference on the theme "Sailing and management: learning to broaden your horizons" was a success with our 50 participants in the General Management Programme in Continuing Education. Through anecdotes, feedback and small interactive quizzes, they livened up the start of the new school year and captured the attention of the audience, who were starting a management training course that day. Thanks to this intervention, they were able to project themselves on this year of training, always rich in sharing and emotions.

Some would think that to be a great sailor you have to be massive, super strong and loud. Not at all Christopher Pratt is the opposite of all that, and yet he impresses with his determination, his courage, his unfailing and constant commitment. He is also smiling and friendly. Fear! Of what? Of nothing, everything interests him, small, big flying boats... The challenge is his fuel since his youngest age, he was already like that when he challenged the most impressive builds in Laser. Then in 420, teamed up with his buddy Jean Mathieu Constant, Chris still didn't have the best build. That didn't stop him from being French champion several times and World Vice Champion; because he worked, worked a lot and with a lot of intelligence. He learned and was enriched by everything that moved around him, in Marseille, at the high-level centre but not only, everywhere he could share, he improved and grew.
"
Christopher is one of the most talented sailors of his generation. He has brought an analytical vision to the world of offshore racing. His knowledge of meteorology and performance analysis complements the fine racing skills he acquired during his brilliant years in dinghies. He is a first class single and double handed sailor!
"
I accompanied Christopher in the drafting and writing of his Master 2 MMOS
thesis with a research specialisation in sport psychosociology. The subject was a
long-term study of skippers' motivation during the 2012-2013 Vendée Globe.
This work required the implementation of a scientific approach and therefore a
significant theoretical questioning to reach the research problematic as well as
the development of an adapted research protocol, all this with a particular
population of very high-level skippers engaged in a competition known for its
great difficulty. He was not initially trained in research. Christopher showed an
uncommon dedication and perseverance to overcome his shortcomings and
meet the demands of producing a research paper. Despite his busy professional
sporting schedule, he was serious, diligent, and reliable. He is a reliable person,
capable of conceiving and carrying out a project thanks to his faculties of
reflection, conceptualisation, and adaptability

With our strong growth, we needed to strengthen the team spirit. The idea of a regatta came to us spontaneously. We called on MARSAIL to organise this event. The day was divided into two parts: in the morning, workshops, with a lot of preparatory work by Vincent and Amandine to get to know the company and orient its actions. In the afternoon, a one-design regatta, with a comparison of the high-level sailing environment (Christopher PRATT's intervention in a conference and on the water) and the company's organisation. Despite the size of the group, MARSAIL was able to adapt its speech and the day's proceedings perfectly. It enabled us to leave with more united, more combative teams! All the employees were over the moon! Thank you for your excellent organisation and thank you to the speakers for their professionalism and tenacity. An event to be repeated with the same team, but over 3 days this time to get even more out of it!
"
We called on Christopher and his teams to organise an event at sea with journalists from all walks of life and the experience was a success for everyone. The organisation, the proximity and the sharing allowed us to live an extraordinary moment in complete confidence.
"
A great moment of simple and profound truth, this is management in its purest form, well illustrated and structured for the benefit of human relations as well as performance. Finally, it's a testimonial for all those who have to manage risk: "doubt, learn to listen and finally decide", as the Toltecs used to say! Thank you, and Godspeed!
"
PRECIOUS! That's the word that best describes Christopher or rather to describe what he means to us at the Mediterranean Training Centre. “Chris" is intimately linked to the history of this offshore racing centre*, which was born in La Grande-Motte in 2003. He was one of the first activity leaders. He trained there for two and a half years, before winning the Challenge Espoir Crédit Agricole and taking off -temporarily to Brittany. In this sense, he opened the way for several of our sailors, initiated and trained in the Mediterranean also known as “the Grande Bleue” and then professionalized in the Atlantic. He showed that it was possible, that there was no cultural or geographical exception in offshore racing. He is loyal to a territory and a state of mind. He has remained attached to the Mediterranean. In Marseille, his city, and a little further west, to the great sandy beaches of the Bay of Aigues Mortes, where he returns regularly to pass on his know-how to others. For nearly 10 years, Christopher has been involved in the CEM to coach our racers: young wolves aspiring to be Figaro sailors or "quadras" eager for maritime adventures. With passion and with the same spirit that has always animated our structure: generosity, simplicity and humility. As a trainer, Christopher does not only rely on a past experience. He has not "moved on". He remains a very important player in offshore racing, now involved in high level projects (Charal), at the cutting edge of technology and in phase with the evolution of our sport. This "racer-coach"/”offshore-sailor-coach” profile is rare. It is a guarantee of expertise, openness, relevance and quality.
"
Many thanks for the organisation! Everything is very well thought out and organised with great professionalism. Everyone was delighted and is looking forward to another MARSAIL experience!
"
By living the Sail'up experience, I found myself in a natural environment, which has nothing to do with our professional habits. You have to make quick decisions in a constrained environment, it evolves quickly, very quickly and the parallels with the business world are natural, it's exciting and fascinating!
"
Christopher won the year-long competition that DCNS organised with the FFV (Fédération Française de Voile) to select a young sailor who would be trained for two years to compete in the 2011 Route du Rhum on the IMOCA DCNS (ex-Naval Group). Throughout the two years of training he spent with our team, Christopher impressed us with his ability to learn and evolve in all areas. This is true both on the water and on land. It has been a pleasure to work with him.
"
The ocean is both fascinating and frightening to me. Although I was worried about going to sea, I still wanted to try the Sail'up adventure.
I am convinced that I had the chance to experience an exceptional moment, one of those rare gems that must be savoured. Marsail provided us with a very high-quality service that I will summarise in three words: conviviality, performance and relevance.
Conviviality through the quality of the accommodation, the magic of the chosen spot, the meals offered worthy of a gastronomic weekend and also thanks to the empathy of the whole team.
Performance through the professionalism and indulgence of the skippers, through the effectiveness of their teaching. They quickly established a climate of trust, which was a determining factor in the perceived pleasure.
Relevance through the quality of the debriefings and the reflective process that accompany the experience. The proposed seminar made me feel at first-hand what it means to make people want to go to sea, both literally and figuratively.
"
I took weather/routing courses with Christopher on several occasions as part of my preparation for the Transquadra. Beyond the relevant and qualitative content, Christopher was able to listen to my needs and help me progress in practice, especially with the computer tools.
"
I can remember one word: experience! Learning through experience is absolutely brilliant, it's beyond training. The Sail'up model enables you to learn about different aspects: about ourselves, about others, about our ability to adapt, about our potential for development. The links with the business world are made naturally in the debriefings. It really gives you food for thought. In addition, it was the opportunity to have great exchanges with wonderful professional athletes who have a lot to pass on to us!
"
What an honour for the ARKEA IS Team to have taken part in the biggest corporate regatta in Europe! A very high-quality organisation on land and at sea by the MARSAIL team. All our guests were delighted, even if despite the talent of the crew, we were a few precious seconds short of the top step of the podium … so we will be back!
"
Boats are becoming more and more efficient and powerful. To benefit from their potential, each team member must know what he has to do to succeed in the manouvers. It’s a team effort. It’s about navigating well, safely, while pushing the limits.
This is what Christopher brings us, with competence authority and a smile. I highly recommend him!
"
Thank you to Christopher for his captivating testimony and his intervention which was particularly appreciated by the leaders presents at the Yvelines Business Club lunch. A wonderful meeting!
"
With Marsail, I had a unique action learning experience, for which sailing is an ideal medium to unveil the group dynamics. A professional and committed team, both at sea (action) and on land (reflection). All this in an idyllic setting in the baye of Marseille at the foot of the mountains. An effective tool for transformation as one would like to experience more in a company seminar.
